Willow is doing well. She is a wonderful mama to her puppies. She is at a great weight and LOVES to eat!! She always let's us know when meal time is. Her skin is still an issue because of the mange. She is very itchy and uncomfortable. There is not much we can do for her until the puppies are weaned. For now, she gets a bath every other day and benadryl twice a day to try to make her more comfortable. Once the puppies are weaned she will begin treatment for her mange AND her heartworms. Poor little thing still has a long road ahead. The puppies are growing bigger and stronger every day. Like their mama, their favorite past time is eating!! Willow was found in Palacios, TX obviously very pregnant, very underweight, infected with severe mange and heartworms. But, even so this poor girl has a sweet, loving personality.
